I don't mind when race X gets a bit of a boost and race Y gets a bit of a nerf, etcetera.
However, deciding to nerf solo altogether is a bit annoying. It's not something you can compensate for by training for race X/ship Y. It's something you compensate for by giving up on a playstyle altogether.
Or fly frigate hulls, and frigate hulls only. They solo reasonably OK post patch. Aside for disruptor range -> scrambler range obviously. Does it suck? Yeah. Do I want to say '**** you' to CCP for their new gameplay? You bet I do.
The decision to dilute the capabilities of ships while solo or in a very small gang is not a 'ship&module rebalance' - which are generally just fine - it's a major nerf to a (very fun) playstyle. I do not have a lot of fun doing the 'primary is X, secondary is Y' - lock - F1 routine.

When Rifters solo battleships, things are balanced. When battleships can solo a Rifter, things are not balanced. WTF?
The problem is this:
the Rifter has defacto ALL the advantages if it can kill cruisers / BCs / BS. It is 100% safe to roam in bar smartbombs when in low-sec, and incredibly safer then BS in 0.0, and it'll even survive a smartbombing BS. It's got the locktime and speed to tackle targets incredibly better then cruiser/HAC/BC/BS. It takes far less time to perfect the skills for it. It is amazingly cheaper.
Now, if you make it able to solo bigger stuff easily - with all these advantages - then it becomes horribly broken and upside-down.

By the way, if you are whining about solo nanocrap killing stuff pre-patch, then you are a nub.
Solo nanoships pre patch were trivial to dispose of - bar nanocurse which you could still force off but wasn't downright trivial like the rest were, and bar nanorapier/huginn vs totally short-range ships, and I menaged to kill that particular animal in a Rupture once, it was that strong.
